EnEscena
The field of photography as an artistic and professional discipline has traditionally been led by men. However, as we fully enter the 21st century, women have been gaining the professional recognition that corresponds to them in photography as well.
In this context, the Spanish platform Cómo ser Fotógrafa (CSF) was born with the aim of showing the active and creative role that contemporary women photographers have taken, without which the art scene would be completely disfigured.
CSF has among its main objectives to give access to the current value achieved in photography made by women, so that art collections can incorporate this fundamental element to understand the contemporary art and cultural scene.
The exhibition En Escena is presented as a declaration of intent of the platform, showing 27 photographs taken by 23 Ibero-American artists.
This exhibition covers a wide spectrum of proposals carried out by women from plural identities and styles. Through their contributions, the photography scene is exponentially enriched and the active participation of these creators today is evidenced.
