Series of photos taken at the Summernats car festival Canberra in January 2020. This was on a day when the Canberra air quality was reported to be the worst in the world, due to bush fires, but this clearly was not an issue with these motor enthusiasts who topped up with extra smoke from burning rubber.

Phil lives in Adelaide and is a self-taught photography enthusiast. Over the last 10 or so years he has rekindled his passion for photography, and more recently, for candid street/urban and event photography.

He has travelled extensively within Europe, North & South America, Africa and Asia. Some of his best travel/street photography opportunities have been obtained while undertaking photography workshops in countries such as India, Bangladesh and Vietnam.

Phil’s more recent street/urban and event work has been undertaken mainly in Australia, with a preference for candid high contrast subjects. View at www.philduvalphotography.com
