This body of work examines concepts around territory and identity in connection to the domestic space. It explores the relationship between domestic spaces and the evolution of self by examining the interplay between marking and territorialization and the spaces we inhabit. The resulting narratives draw parallels between personal archaeology and the subjective creation of home.
Donna Bergshoeff is a photo- based artist with an inquiring interest into identity and it’s ever fluctuating roll within our lives. Her work explores the liminal spaces between frames the phenomenological nature of narrative structures.
Donna received a Masters of Teaching from the University of Tasmania and holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts from Ryerson University.
