Ukraine-born Andrew Rovenko is a Melbourne-based Creative Technologist with a passion for photography. The rocketgirl chronicles has launched him to international recognition.
Living and working between Naarm (Melbourne) and Gimuy (Cairns), Teva Cosic’s art is informed by her mixed Swedish and Croatian background, navigating themes of migration, cultural displacement and nostalgia. Her series The birdsong is deafening is an ongoing body of work that contemplates the endlessly shifting landscape between memory, loss and place. It reflects upon Cosic’s relationship with her hometown of Gimuy (Cairns) and the liminal experience of growing up with a multicultural identity.
