Len Metcalf will start this workshop looking at a brief history of abstract photography and art – showing how the two are intertwined in a rich history of the visual medium. All photography has a degree of abstraction, the question arises about how much do we push and in which directions can it go?  The workshop will survey the vast and various abstract photography genres, and which photographers employ and champion them.

In this workshop participants will get a structured lesson on various techniques that can be used to create photographic abstraction and will be able to try the techniques out for yourself.

Ensure that you bring your camera with you!
