In ‘Dawn Rising’, photographer Tim Elwin creates a fusion between real and surreal as photography takes a step towards abstract paintings. Transcending visual art in a calming yet inspirational space which can only be captured from within the ocean, whilst still dark, waiting and watching for the sun to peek its head over the horizon.

Tim specialises in Lifestyle & Portrait Photography, however in the water at dawn is where his talents shine with his work often verging between a photograph & a painting. Thankful to be alive after a horrific motorcycle accident in 2018, which left him permanently disabled, Tim’s connection with the water pulled him through rehab to get back on his feet & back into the water doing what he loves best, shooting the sunrise & those people who brave the often cold & windy waters at dawn to start their day in the most vigorous of ways! Tim has since set up a social initiative called “Print For Print” where 50% of all his fine art photography sales go to funding art into local public hospitals.
