BONDI 24 HOURS

I created this book with images I had taken over my first few years living in Bondi Beach. I moved here when I was 20 years old, and I discovered an underground sub-culture that is completely unique to this suburb. What has always amazed me most about Bondi, having now lived in Cities all over the world, is its unique classlesness. It is a melting pot of people from every race and walk of life, living here side by side, and where they come from or how they grew up is no longer as important, as an acceptance of a beautiful healthy life with like minded people. I met so many diverse people from all over the world who had made their homes in Bondi, coming from Italy, Japan, Israel, America, Brazil – the list goes on. I wanted to show these young years living in Bondi, through a documentary study of a life as it could be lived here over a 24- hour period. My friends and I wrote memories of our experiences and I created stories to accompany the images.
