The Head On Photo Festival in partnership with the Mobile Photo Network (MPN) is inviting photographers from all around the world to submit mobile phone photographs on the theme of Backyard. The deadline for submissions is 12 Midnight Thursday 2 May 2013.
Mobile photography has enabled us to share our once private homes and backyards with the rest of the world. Through connected technology and social media we can now invite people to come over, to join us, to see how we live.
The exhibition will be held in the Superintendent’s Residence, located in the sprawling grounds of Centennial Park – Sydney’s shared backyard.
Submissions can only be made through the official Backyard page: www.mobilephotonetwork.com/backyard
A one off entry fee of $10 allows photographers to submit up to five mobile photos for consideration. The judges will be looking for both strong individual images and for sets of photos related to the theme. Judges include:
- Head On Photo Festival Director Moshe Rosenzveig
- MPN founders and mobile photographers Oliver Lang and Misho Baranovic
- Sydney-based fine art photographer Garry Trinh.
Photographs selected for exhibition will be shown along with the photographer’s social media contact information to enable the viewer to directly interact with the exhibited photographers
